Missing Persons Week – September 19-25
Regina Region Victim Services would like to acknowledge Missing persons awareness week which runs from Sept 19th-Sept 25th. Missing Persons Week helps increase public awareness and highlights relevant issues. This year’s theme, “What We Can Do,” focuses on prevention, response and support measures. The theme focuses on the ways that people across the province can work towards missing persons prevention and response, as well as sharing ways that citizens can support the families and loved ones of missing people. The Saskatchewan Missing Persons Partnership (SMPP) is comprised of police agencies, community and Indigenous groups and the provincial government. Annually, the SMPP hosts a week of awareness, education and support.
